What do we really mean with Everyday Humanitarianism?
On the 28th of September our 4 PhD students got together at Copenhagen Business School with our senior reseachers Simon Turner and Lisa Ann Richey, to engage with key literature on humanitarianism and share how they might help us better grasp what we've experienced in the field. We discussed what could constitute a uniquely "Tanzanian humanitarianism", the importance of informal humanitarianism and what role the state plays in the intersection of formal and informal "giving".
This fall we've had the luxury of holding workshops in person, as 3 of our project PhD students from the University of Dar es Salaam - Rosemary Msoka, Esther Mlingwa and Lucas Kitula - are spending three months as visiting reseachers at CBS.
